Soundscape – An environment of sound (or sonic environment) with emphasis on the way it is percieved and understood by an individual, or by a society.
Truax (1999) in Handbook of Acoustic Ecology
It is the body, as a sensory apparatus and as embodied consciousness that allows us to enter into conversations with ourselves as nature. It is also our body as the locus of the socio-historical context in which we are situated that makes us experience nature differently in different times and different places.

Bures boahtin! Welcome!
This is a blogg that I have created to present my research about sensuous tourism with specific emphasis on sounds and soundscapes. So far I have added my master thesis in Tourism Studies, from the Department of Tourism and Northern Studies at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. It is truly a work in progress, so I hope you will enjoy this journey with me.
